With rigorous core classes that develop critical thinking and communication skills, students outperform the nation in reading, writing, and math skills, according to our standardized assessments. Science and History classes provide rigorous content and experiential learning through labs, research, and field studies. We offer training for PSAT and SAT preparation, and have even produced PSAT National Merit scholars. Additionally, we are proud to have earned a place on the national College Board’s AP Honor Roll at the Gold level, a station reserved only for the top 6% of qualifying high schools. This means that our Advanced Placement program provides college optimization, offering AP from 9th through 12th grades, balancing the rigor over the intellectual development of the student; that we have developed a college culture, encouraging rigor; and that our teachers have supported students to pass the final exam at a strong rate, to earn college credit. Most students take advantage of the Dual Enrollment program in 11th and 12th grades, and our high school graduates typically enter college with a year’s worth of college credits from both AP and DE coursework. Our college advisor prepares students for their college applications, ensuring appropriate selection and timely acceptance.

We offer rigor and opportunities not only in the core traditional high school subjects. Students in our Qur’an and Arabic programs earn career credentials due to the high level of achievement they gain following our program. In Qur’an, students have the opportunity to pursue Advanced Tajweed certification. Al Falah Academy is the only Islamic school in North America that partners with the Conservation of the Holy Qur’an Society in Amman, Jordan. The Society is the largest Qur’an university in the world, and they provide a course in Advanced Tajweed that qualifies certificate holders to teach high-level Quranic tajweed. Our students who gain this certificate have already gone to our local Atlanta masaajid to serve our community’s children as qualified Qur’an teachers in summer camps and weekend schools.
Additionally, our Arabic program at the high school level is aligned with national world language teaching standards, and our students earn high scores on the rigorous and standardized Arabic language exams, thus earning many of our students the Global Seal of BiLiteracy in Arabic and English. This is a career credential that adds to the value of a diploma.
In Islamic Studies, we hire qualified Islamic studies scholars to teach the core domains of our deen, including fiqh, or rulings, of the 5 pillars, seerah (the biography of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him), hadith studies, character and manners (akhlaaq and adab), Muslim civilizations through history, and more. Beyond knowledge, we strive to develop conviction by providing scholars to discuss lifestyle issues and answer the many questions generated by our youth on how to maintain a strong Islamic personality in our American cultural setting.
It’s not all about academics. Our wide variety of Electives courses broaden students’ horizons regarding careers, financial literacy, artistic abilities, and technical skills. We have a vibrant athletic program, offering both male and female teams in cross country running, basketball, and soccer in middle and high school. Go Lions! Our students are the founders of our many clubs such as National Honor Society, Beta Club, Red Cross Club, Environmental Club, and UNICEF Club. Students participate in competitions of all kinds, and we have an active Scouting program for boys and girls each.
