Founding board member of Al Falah Academy and advocate for Islamic
schooling in Gwinnett County since 2004. Khaled holds a degree in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Jordan and brings over 25 years of IT
experience, currently with Kloeckner Metals. He is active in local masajid and
has served as a khateeb and community volunteer.

Founding board member of Al Falah Academy. Yusof holds a Mechanical
Engineering degree from Manhattan College and has spent 30+ years with
FieldCore (GE Power), serving in senior field engineering, operations, and
project leadership roles. He also serves as Board President of CAIR Georgia
and brings strong operational and community leadership to the board.

Founding board member of Al Falah Academy since 2011 and parent of three
AFA students. Akram holds a Computer Science degree from Georgia State
University and is a Software Engineering Manager at NCR Voyix, with prior
leadership roles at Amazon and General Motors.. With over 20 years in
technology leadership, he brings strong systems, people, and transformation
expertise to the board.

Board member since 2013 and experienced finance leader. Jean holds an
Accounting degree from Babson College, an MBA from The Citadel, and CMA
and CSCA certifications. She is Director of Finance at Paulson Cheek
Mechanical, following many years leading finance at Kingspan Insulation, and
brings strong governance and financial stewardship to AFA.She had previously
served as the Treasurer.

Board member since 2016 and AFA parent with four children at the school.
Hayat holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and
Computer Science and a Master’s in International Business with a minor in HR.
She has more than 15 years of experience in operations, sourcing, and
marketing, including over 12 years at Serta Simmons Bedding, where she
serves as Marketing Operations Manager.

Board member since 2022 and AFA parent with several years of active PTO
leadership and service. He serves as Senior Director of Private Markets at
SS&C Technologies, with 20+ years of experience in the accounting and
finance industry. He holds degrees in Accounting and MIS from the University
of Connecticut and completed Executive Education in Finance at Harvard
University. He also brings 15+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit and
community organizations.

Board member since 2025 and AFA parent since 2013 and father of 3 AFA
alumni and current students. Hido holds an Accounting degree from Georgia
State University and spent many years at Bank of America leading operations,
compliance, and financial reporting before retiring in 2022. He is now Managing
Partner of Maxo and Associates in Lawrenceville and has helped raise over
500K for AFA through tax credit and community giving programs.
