FAQs

frequently asked question

Why did tuition go up from $7300 to $7700?

Al Falah Academy is a non-profit institution. We do not make a profit, and tuition does NOT cover all the costs of educating the students, maintaining the facility and campus, and paying our staff salaries and all bills. Expenses have gone up, and we also need to keep up with the professional salary increases of staff. When making the tuition decisions, we primarily look at the GA Tax Credit participation of our parents. As we state, this government program is a FREE method to obtain government funding that lowers our tuition. This year, only 52% of parents are participating. When we do not have closer to 100% of participation, we know we will have to make up the difference with a tuition increase.

Do you accept students with 504 Plans?

We take each situation case by case, and accept students if we know we can address their need with the resources we have. We do accept some mild to moderate 504 situations. Please apply, and make sure you include the most recent evaluation or diagnosis of the area of need, as well as any accommodations in place in the current school setting. Our special needs team reviews the accommodations required and will base admission decisions on that.

Does pledging for GASSO reduce tuition for said student's tuition?

The GA Tax Credit Program is not permitted to be used to provide an advantage to any individual student/family donor. It may be used to reduce OVERALL tuition, or to provide a Needs-Based (not donor-based) financial aid or scholarship program. When you participate in GASSO, you are improving the school, which benefits your child.

How much does your financial aid cover?

No student receives 100% financial aid. We feel that every family needs to contribute. Our financial aid program looks at both income and lifestyle to make the best decision that will help the most families. We typically cover 25%-40% of the tuition, depending on each family’s circumstances.
