School Guidance Counselor

Qualification:
  • Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • State certification or licensure (preferred)
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Strong communication, discretion, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to working in an Islamic educational environment
Job Function:
  • Provide short-term individual and small-group counseling for students (K–12)
  • Respond to concerns involving bullying, self-harm ideation, peer conflict, and behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement annual schoolwide themes (e.g., bullying prevention, digital citizenship, social media
    safety, resilience)
  • Conduct classroom guidance lessons across grade levels
  • Provide parent consultations and referrals to licensed mental health professionals when appropriate
  • Collaborate with administration in crisis response and student safety planning
